Pedro Giomi’s passion and artistry are evidenced through his bold cinematic language and stunning visuals, making for powerful, iconic storytelling with superb performance. This has earned him recognition and accolades from some of the world’s top international award shows, including Ciclope, D&AD, and Cannes Lions. He was also named one of The Five Most Outstanding Film Directors capturing Brazil’s Carnival by Little Black Book.
Pedro’s revolutionary social film “Glitch,” out of BBDO Dusseldorf for the Alzheimer Forschung Initiative recently won a Silver and three Bronze at the Clio Awards, a Silver and two Bronze ADC Cubes, and two Webbys. His outlandish and visually cutting-edge ad, “Questionable Laws,” explores the cannabis legalization debate and was created for Nowdays in conjunction with AKQA’s Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and Sao Paulo offices. The spot was recognized with awards at Eurobest and 1.4 in the UK.
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Pedro began making his own films at an early age before attending film school, and now more than a decade into his commercial career, he has made a name for himself helming work for top brands including Budweiser, Heinz, Valongo, Trident, and Ford, among many others.
Pedro is based in Amsterdam, where he continues to hone his bike riding skills in between making award-winning work.
