An iconic soccer stadium comes home to its fans through the magic of VR

Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is legendary. With an official capacity of 87,523, it’s the largest soccer stadium in Mexico. But there are still thousands of fans who never get to see their team play there. Wieden/Kennedy and Bud Light came to Mirada with a big idea: what if soccer fans in the U.S. could have the experience of being in Estadio Azteca without leaving home? Director Chris Riehl accepted the challenge, and created “Seats of Glory,” an immersive VR experience that brought fans a front-row experience during a live game at this iconic stadium. The priceless experience showed the incredible potential of virtual reality to connect us to what we love most.
