Exploring new frontiers on the battlefield with VR

The Marines have always been at the forefront of technology. To enhance their recruitment efforts and spotlight the relentless innovation at the core of the Corps, the USMC turned to Mirada and director Chris Riehl to create an immersive VR experience. Using Oculus headsets, “Battle Position” allows ordinary people to enter into a dynamic virtual world where they can test their strength and fortitude in an intense physical challenge with life and death stakes. Riehl and his team created an intense, interactive experience that shows people just what it takes to become a Marine, and just how powerful they can be. As a traveling activation across the country, “Battle Position” has become a hugely successful recruiting tool and a glimpse into the future of modern military training.
