A good night’s sleep blooms into a magical dreamscape
A great night of sleep is a beautiful thing. To visualize this notion, ZzzQuil turned to directors Mathew Miguel Cullen and Vanessa Marzaroli. With the lavender essences in ZzzQuil as their inspiration, the directors created a miniaturized world where people sleep inside of lush purple flowers, set against a magical dreamscape filled with rippling streams and blooming orchids. And it’s all real. From a production standpoint, this meant filming actual flowers, then directing the “sleeping” actors with motion-control cameras to place them inside of their pillowy petals. The sum effect is a soothing lullaby for the audience, a welcome respite from the noise of the day and an invitation to the best night’s sleep ever.
